About the Role
As a SOC Analyst, you’ll be on the frontlines of cybersecurity—detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents that could impact our organization. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with cutting-edge security tools, collaborating with senior analysts, and enhancing our threat detection and response capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor alerts and raise incidents as part of 24×7 operations.
- Stay updated on the latest malware trends and cyber threats.
- Provide detailed technical support for remediation and mitigation.
- Create root cause analysis and comprehensive assessment reports.
- Perform initial triage of security events using defined playbooks.
- Assist senior analysts during incident investigations and response.
- Prioritize and monitor security tickets across multiple queues.
- Investigate anomalies and outliers beyond standard use-case alerts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams via internal communication channels.
- Drive continuous improvements to monitoring and detection processes.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with multiple OS (Windows, Linux, OS X).
- Proficiency in basic shell scripting (MUST).
- Ability to create rules in security tools or use log-searching query languages.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language.
- Ability to handle common security incidents independently, with sound judgment on when to escalate.
