About the Role
As a Business Analyst I at Verisk, you will bridge stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. You’ll gather requirements, design test plans, perform data analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the communication link between stakeholders and development teams
- Conduct detailed business requirements gathering & documentation
- Develop test plans, scripts, and execute manual/automated test cases
- Analyze data to identify trends and meaningful insights
- Create process maps to visualize workflows and optimize efficiency
- Report defects with clear reproduction steps and severity levels
- Perform regression, UAT, performance, load, and stress testing
- Support users with training, documentation, and implementation
- Drive continuous improvement across testing and requirement processes
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, IT, or related field
- Master’s/MBA is a plus
Experience:
- 0–2 years in business analysis (Life Insurance domain experience preferred)
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI (optional)
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar requirement management tools
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication & documentation ability
- Critical thinking and problem-solving
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and teamwork
