About the Role
TransUnion is seeking a detail-oriented Analyst, Data Operations to support technical operations, manage data workflows, reduce operational risks, and drive process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for candidates with strong SQL skills, data handling experience, and a passion for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Data & Technical Operations
- Support specialist functions within Technical Operations.
- Execute monthly ETL and data build cycles.
- Manage datasets using SQL and R (load, query, export).
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure high-quality applications.
- Support product updates, new releases, and internal projects.
- Present analysis insights to small audiences.
- Set up and maintain secure data transfers using Globalscape EFT and Connect Direct.
- Troubleshoot incidents and queries as a subject matter expert.
Quality & Risk Management
- Perform QA checks on deliverables.
- Help reduce team risk through proactive issue resolution.
- Review and maintain documented operational processes.
Process Improvement
- Identify efficiency and quality enhancement opportunities.
- Deliver automation and process reengineering initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server Management Studio.
- Familiarity with SQL/T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Experience with large datasets and report generation (SSRS, Power BI).
- Capability to execute UAT.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in fast-paced, results-driven environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- PowerShell scripting
- Power Apps / Power Automate
- C# programming
- SSIS execution and monitoring
- Knowledge of infrastructure issues (network, disk space, permissions)
- Experience with batch data processing systems
