About the Role
Join Societe Generale’s Compliance team as an Analyst – Sanction Screening, where you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the financial safety and compliance integrity of one of the world’s leading financial groups. You will analyze transaction alerts, manage sanctions and embargo screenings, and ensure strict adherence to global regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform real-time transaction filtering and alert analysis to detect potential sanction violations.
- Escalate relevant cases to Level 2 Compliance and support investigations.
- Conduct L1 analysis on third-party database alerts using global sanction and embargo (S/E) lists.
- Research companies, entities, and individuals using internal tools and public data sources.
- Translate Group Compliance filtering guidelines into actionable operational processes.
- Participate in platform evolution projects and contribute to filtering system enhancements.
- Review payment-related queries for sanction implications while ensuring full compliance.
- Present analytical summaries and operational insights to management.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with global teams (including US counterparts).
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SWIFT and FEDWIRE is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in dynamic, multi-shift environments across time zones.
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and take ownership of compliance processes.
