About the Role
Société Générale is seeking a Finance Analyst to join our Valuation Group (VAL) within the Finance Department (DFIN/MAR/VAL). The role focuses on Independent Price Verification (IPV), Reserve Policies (RP), and Valuation Adjustments, ensuring that valuations comply with global accounting standards and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform IPV production tasks including market parameter analysis and valuation certification.
- Provide desk-level commentary and analysis on valuation drivers.
- Manage parameter cartographies and consensus data processes.
- Support calibration of bid/ask spreads, uncertainty, and prudent valuation adjustments (PVA).
- Compute, analyze, and report valuation adjustments.
- Collaborate with Front Office teams on valuation queries.
- Enhance tools, frameworks, and processes through Python/VBA scripting.
- Participate in global Valuation Committees and reporting activities.
Required Skills & Profile
- Basic understanding of financial markets and derivative pricing methodologies (Equity, Fixed Income, FX).
- Hands-on experience in Python and VBA.
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in an international environment.
