About the Role
Qualitest Group is hiring SOC Engineers to strengthen its Security Operations Centre in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, validating, and escalating security incidents detected through SIEM tools and other reporting mechanisms. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates passionate about cybersecurity and eager to grow in a dynamic SOC environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Acknowledge, analyze, and validate incidents triggered through SIEM tools like LogRhythm and SentinelOne.
- Review incidents received via email, phone, escalation teams, and management directives.
- Collect and interpret critical logs for incident containment and investigation.
- Perform initial evaluation of false positives and false negatives.
- Understand event logs from multiple sources: Firewalls, IDS, Windows DC, network appliances, AV tools, email security, etc.
- Create and manage incidents in ITSM platforms, documenting all indicators, logs, and alarms per defined protocols & SLAs.
- Track and update incident progress based on client inputs and investigation outcomes.
- Report infrastructure and system-related issues to IT support teams.
- Work with security tools such as EDR, CrowdStrike, ENS, DLP, CASB, and other endpoint solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 0–4 years of hands-on experience in SOC operations.
- Knowledge of incident management, SIEM administration, correlation rules, and security monitoring.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP traffic analysis and event log interpretation.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
- Bachelor’s degree + CEH certification (mandatory).
- Ability to work in rotational shifts (onsite, Bangalore office).
- Strong communication, analytical mindset, and quick learning ability.
