About the Role
We’re hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Intern to join our Engineering team in Chennai. In this role, you’ll develop, maintain, and execute automated tests to ensure our web and mobile applications meet the highest quality standards. This internship is ideal for those passionate about automation, testing frameworks, and building scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test cases for mobile, web, and API platforms.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure effective test coverage for new features.
- Execute automated and manual test cases; report and debug issues.
- Maintain and improve existing test automation frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews, QA meetings, and feature discussions.
- Build scripts and tools to support testing activities and improve efficiency.
What You’ll Achieve
- 6 Months: Understand Poshmark’s automation frameworks and contribute to test case creation and execution.
- 12 Months: Enhance automation frameworks, implement end-to-end automated tests, and improve overall testing efficiency.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, OOP).
- Experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
- Exposure to API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured).
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills with attention to detail.
Bonus Skills
- Hands-on experience with mobile or web app testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Understanding of testing methodologies and frameworks (unit, regression, performance).
