Position Overview
Optimas is hiring a Data Governance/BI Analyst to join our Data Governance team in Pune. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and availability of data across our enterprise systems. You will support business efficiency by validating information, improving data quality, and enabling effective purchasing, stocking, and selling processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate data for accuracy, compliance, and relevance
- Enter approved data elements into Optimas systems within set deadlines
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders across teams
- Perform SQL queries to identify poor-quality data and work with teams to correct it
- Support ad-hoc reporting and analytics requests
- Identify and escalate data-related issues or red flags
- Continuously look for ways to enhance data quality and availability
- Ensure timely closure and follow-up of all assigned requests
- Translate technical concepts into simple language for non-technical teams

Skills & Qualifications

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to analyze large datasets and extract insights
- SQL query skills (preferred but not mandatory)
- Ability to work in a multi-tasking, deadline-driven environment
- Strong sense of urgency, motivation, and a “can-do” attitude
Work Environment
- Role involves extended periods of computer-based data entry and data analysis
- Must be comfortable reviewing printed specifications and datasets
- Follows UK working hours
