MetLife is seeking a passionate Jr. Software Platform Engineer with hands-on expertise in Core Java, Advanced Java, and Microservices. In this role, you’ll design, develop, and deliver cloud-based hybrid mobile applications, scalable microservices, and robust CI/CD pipelines in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities
- Design & develop complex cloud-based hybrid mobile applications from scratch.
- Build scalable and resilient microservices using Java 8, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Create and configure CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins or Bamboo.
- Develop reusable and reliable UI components using ReactJS, React Native, or AngularJS.
- Write clean, efficient code following industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
- Contribute throughout the full product development life cycle.
- Maintain a high level of ownership, leadership, and professionalism.
Required Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance/Accounts, or related field.
- Experience: 0–3 years in Core Java, Advanced Java, Microservices.
- Technical Skills:
- Java 8, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
- Microservices & Message Queues
- MongoDB / NoSQL Databases, Redis
- Docker, CI/CD, Bamboo/Jenkins
- Build tools: Maven/Gradle, Webpack/Gulp
- JavaScript (ES6), ReactJS/React Native/AngularJS, Node.js
