Position Overview
We are seeking an Associate Data Scientist to join our growing digital transformation journey. This role involves applying data mining, AI, and predictive modeling techniques to generate insights, automate workflows, and solve global business challenges.
You will work with global leaders and cross-functional teams to translate complex data into actionable business insights and help McCormick innovate the way we operate.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate complex data & analytics into clear business insights for global and regional teams.
- Design and implement workflows using AI and machine learning models.
- Enhance and automate data collection procedures to improve analytic systems.
- Build and deploy advanced algorithms (OCR, Translation, Generative AI, etc.) to transform business data.
- Clean, process, and validate data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Manage projects by planning, organizing, and driving successful outcomes.
- Continuously adopt industry best practices to strengthen McCormick’s analytics capabilities.
- Support digital transformation initiatives by developing scalable data solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Analytics/Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data cleaning, visualization, and analysis.
- Proficiency in Python or R for statistical modeling and data manipulation.
- Hands-on experience with Tableau (or other visualization tools).
- Strong business acumen, especially in Supply Chain concepts.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
- Exposure to ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Knowledge of Data environments, ML Ops, and backend development.
- Experience training and deploying ML models.

- Designation: Office-based (Gurgaon).
