Role Overview
As a Software Development Engineer-1, you will be part of the Network Solutions team in Pune, India. This is a hands-on developer role with a focus on Java-based event-driven applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining APIs and applications that support Mastercard’s global network.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop event-driven applications using Java.
- Write modular, scalable, and efficient code with focus on performance.
- Work with cross-functional teams to align on the shared product vision.
- Apply strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving techniques.
- Ensure code quality with unit testing and best practices.
- Take end-to-end ownership of APIs, from development to production support.
What Mastercard is Looking For
- Hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
- Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Exposure to Test Driven Development (TDD) and web services integration.
- Proven ability to build complex and scalable systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
