About the Role
L&T is hiring a highly motivated Software Engineer for the D&DC Land Systems team. This role is ideal for freshers or early-career engineers passionate about embedded systems, real-time operating systems, and large-scale software development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality software using C and C++.
- Work with Linux, VxWorks, QNX, and multi-threaded/multi-process environments.
- Implement tools and frameworks to accelerate software development and debugging.
- Support debugging and issue resolution from customer sites.
- Analyze system scalability, interworking issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Design and implement diagnostic tools, test codes, and reliability features.
- Work on distributed architecture systems with inter-process communication.
- Communicate across various physical layer interfaces: Serial, Ethernet, CAN, 1553, NMEA, ModBus, etc.
- Work with IP networks, VLANs, and Ethernet switching.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, stable systems.
Required Skills
- Strong programming foundation in C, C++.
- Good understanding of Operating Systems, kernel concepts, and real-time systems.
- Hands-on in Linux, Jira, and IPC mechanisms.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and integration skills.
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
- Experience/knowledge of distributed systems and embedded communication protocols.
