About the Role
IBM is building a dedicated engineering team in Kochi to accelerate the digital transformation of Source-to-Pay (S2P) using cutting-edge AI and data engineering technologies. As a Junior AI Developer, you will support the development, testing, and operational deployment of agentic AI capabilities using IBM Watsonx Orchestrate and open-source frameworks. This role is ideal for early-career professionals passionate about AI, automation, and enterprise-grade engineering.
You will collaborate with global teams across S2P, CIO, Chief Data Office, and Consulting, contributing to real-world AI use cases that enhance procurement efficiency, automate workflows, and deliver measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, testing, and deploying AI agents for S2P workflows.
- Support data pipeline development, optimization, and maintenance.
- Work with global cross-functional teams to align solutions with IBM standards.
- Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and team discussions.
- Document processes, workflows, and development components.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in Python programming.
- Basic understanding of SQL and database concepts.
- Knowledge of ETL, data pipelines, and data engineering fundamentals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and work in a collaborative global environment.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with IBM Watsonx Orchestrate or similar AI automation tools.
- Exposure to analytics, data mining, or intelligent automation platforms.
