About the Role:
Goldman Sachs is hiring a highly skilled Associate Software Engineer to join our GenAI Semantic Search team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will work on building scalable, performant, and distributed search systems that power AI-driven applications. If you are passionate about GenAI, NLP, and next-generation semantic search, this opportunity is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and distributed semantic search engines.
- Implement and optimize NLP algorithms and LLM-based solutions for search and retrieval.
- Build microservices with Java and open-source technologies like Kafka, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, gRPC, and Vert.x.
- Collaborate across global teams and contribute to innovative AI-powered search products.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong experience in backend Java development (multi-threaded and concurrent systems).
- Proficiency with Kafka, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Hazelcast, Vert.x, and gRPC.
- Working knowledge of Python for NLP and data manipulation.
- Familiarity with search engines, Lucene, and vector databases (plus point).
