As part of our Cyber Defense Center (CDC) within the CETO organization, you’ll help protect Ford’s global digital assets from compromise by integrating cutting-edge intelligence, strengthening our security operations, and responding to threats with agility.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Cyber Defense Analyst (Threat Integration Analyst) with strong technical depth across cloud, network, and host environments. In this role, you’ll be focused on operating and improving Ford’s Cyber Defense Center efforts, integrating threat intelligence into SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and other security tools to safeguard Ford Motor Company and its subsidiaries worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Python-based SOAR orchestration for logs, events, data feeds, and Incident Response actions.
- Create, enhance, and tune SIEM threat detections (curated and custom).
- Collaborate with IT Operations for log source ingestion and parsing into SIEM and SOAR.
- Lead technical project management for software upgrades and maintenance using the Agile framework.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field.
- Strong Python programming skills, especially with REST APIs for data orchestration across platforms and tools.
- 2+ years’ experience with SIEM tools (preference for Chronicle).
- Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with attention to detail.
- Solid knowledge of information security, including malware, emerging threats, attacks, and vulnerability management.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years SOC operational experience.
- Sound understanding of cloud technologies, TCP/IP, and networking concepts.
- In-depth knowledge of servers, clients, and storage technologies.
- Experience with Windows and Linux/Mac OS operating systems.
- Familiarity with Ford’s computing infrastructure and the application development lifecycle (SDM).
- Strong initiative, results-driven mindset, and high integrity.
