About the Role
Eaton Corporation’s Center for Intelligent Power is seeking an Associate Engineer – Data Science who is passionate about applying ML/AI algorithms to solve power management problems. This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and integrate intelligent algorithms into edge and cloud systems using modern CI/CD pipelines and software release processes.
As part of a collaborative and innovative team, you will contribute to the full lifecycle of intelligent power technology products, from architecture and design to deployment and production.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop ML/AI algorithms for power management applications.
- Integrate algorithms into edge or cloud systems with CI/CD workflows.
- Collaborate with experts in ML, deep learning, distributed systems, and product management.
- Contribute to architecture, design, and development of intelligent power products.
- Deliver end-to-end ML pipelines and production-ready solutions.
- Work in an Agile environment, ensuring timely and impactful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering.
- 0–1+ years of hands-on data science experience.
- Strong foundation in statistics (Bayesian networks, hypothesis testing).
- Experience with ML/DL models: time series modeling, anomaly detection, diagnostics, prognostics, root cause analysis, pattern detection.
- Knowledge of data visualization techniques.
- Programming proficiency in Python, R, MATLAB, C/C++, Java, PySpark, SparkR.
- Familiarity with Azure ML Pipeline, Databricks, MLFlow.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) tools and practices.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Computer Vision, NLP, and Recommendation Systems.
- Familiarity with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras, Spark ML, NumPy, Pandas.
- Experience with open-source projects: OpenCV, GStreamer, OpenVINO, ONNX, Caffe.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work with global teams.
- Ability to translate academic research into practical solutions.
- Proactive learner with strong curiosity and problem-solving mindset.
