Role Overview
We are seeking a Network Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team managing BlackRock’s global network and security infrastructure. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring operational stability, supporting incident management, and driving automation across our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st/2nd line technical support and incident management for network circuits and hardware
- Manage operational network maintenance and implement network changes
- Monitor, identify, and remediate network alerts to maintain infrastructure stability
- Conduct root cause analysis and periodic network performance reviews
- Support automation initiatives using scripting and network management tools
- Maintain and update documentation, policies, and operational procedures
- Participate in shift rotation and daily network health checks
Required Skills & Experience:
- 1+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure operations or support
- Strong understanding of network routing, switching, and routing protocols
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
- Familiarity with Checkpoint, load balancers, and WAN accelerators (preferred)
- Knowledge of Python, Ansible, Terraform for network automation (desirable)
- CCNA or CCNP certification preferred
