Position Overview:
Join Bentley Systems as a Software Development Intern (Structural Group) and be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of engineering software. This internship offers hands-on experience in software research and development, contributing to cutting-edge projects involving finite element analysis, design automation, and structural engineering applications.
Who Can Apply:
- Master’s students in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, graduating in 2026
- Available for a 9-month internship (Oct 2025 – May 2026)
- Based in or willing to work from Kolkata or Pune
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Work on real-world software R&D projects used by thousands globally.
- Research, design, implement, document, and test product features.
- Collaborate with expert developers in the Structural group.
- Gain exposure to the latest tools and methodologies in finite element analysis.
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong understanding of engineering concepts such as static/dynamic/non-linear/vibration analysis.
- Familiarity with tools like STAAD, ETABS, ANSYS, AutoPIPE, MathCAD, MATLAB, etc.
- Programming experience in C++, C#, or FORTRAN (Windows).
- Exposure to TypeScript or JavaScript is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a self-motivated attitude.
