About the Role
Barclays is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Analyst – Banking Operations to join our team in Pune. In this role, you will be at the core of our operational ecosystem, supporting daily processing, reviewing transactions, risk control, and driving operational excellence across business units. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced digital banking environment where your voice matters and your contributions directly impact customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Process inward and outward transactions including cross-border payments (IMPS/NEFT/RTGS/NACH).
- Ensure accurate, error-free, and timely execution of daily payment operations.
- Adhere to regulatory guidelines and internal service level agreements.
- Support business areas in processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Develop operational procedures and controls to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational processes.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
- Identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices in banking operations.
- Manage risk, strengthen controls, and escalate policy breaches when required.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and ensure high-quality customer service.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of MS Excel and MS Word.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Fast learner with high attention to detail.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills
- AML/Client Due Diligence (CDD) experience.
- Experience working with Front Office and Relationship Manager teams.
- Familiarity with risk types and client risk classification.
- Flexibility to work in rotational shifts.
