About the Role: Analyst – Private Bank Processing
As an Analyst at Barclays, you play a transformational role in supporting core banking operations. You will be responsible for maintaining investment processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving high-quality operational performance.
This role is ideal for candidates who want to work closely with investment portfolios, audit teams, and risk-control functions while contributing to the bank’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Investment Portfolio Accounting
You will manage daily accounting for multiple investment instruments such as:
- Debt and equity securities
- Mutual funds
- Alternative investments
Accuracy and compliance with Indian Accounting Standards and regulatory guidelines (IRDAI, SEBI, RBI) are essential.
2. Regulatory Compliance & Monitoring
The Analyst ensures all investment transactions follow regulatory limits and internal governance norms. You will monitor compliance metrics, address discrepancies, and escalate issues as needed.
3. Tax Computation and Filing
You will:
- Compute taxes related to investment activities
- Manage filing and compliance
- Stay updated on changes to Indian tax laws
This ensures the bank remains compliant across all investment-related functions.
4. Audit Coordination
The role includes leading and supporting:
- Internal audits
- Statutory audits
- Tax audits
You will prepare schedules, documentation, and responses to audit queries to ensure smooth audit cycles.
5. Process Improvement & Reporting
Your role centers around enhancing operational efficiency through:
- Developing procedures
- Strengthening internal controls
- Creating performance reports
- Presenting insights to senior stakeholders
You will also participate in transformation projects aimed at modernizing banking operations.
6. Team Leadership
As an Analyst with leadership responsibilities, you will:
- Guide and mentor team members
- Allocate workloads
- Build a culture of accountability and excellence
