We are expanding our Product Quality Team and are looking for a Software Quality Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of AspenTech’s next-generation Operational Technology (OT) products. This role offers a unique opportunity to design and execute innovative testing approaches while working with the latest automation and CI/CD technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, execute, and maintain test automation for backend, UI, and API testing.
- Develop automated test scripts for non-functional system verification.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines to configure and maintain test environments.
- Perform requirements analysis, create test strategies, and execute test cases.
- Troubleshoot issues, log defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Execute complex manual and automated tests to validate product functionality.
- Work in an Agile development environment, engaging with international teams.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 0–3 years of experience in software testing, QA, or automation.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Perl, or Shell scripting.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments.
- Hands-on experience with system administration (personal or small networks is a plus).
- Knowledge of manual and automated testing practices.
- Experience with databases (SQL, Cassandra, MongoDB) preferred.
- Familiarity with Configuration Management and test automation frameworks is a plus.
- Understanding of server virtualization (VMware, vSphere) preferred.
- Basic networking knowledge (Layer 2/3, TCP/IP, SNMP, etc.) is advantageous.
- Experience with version control systems (Git, Subversion, CVS) is preferred.
