About the Role
Principal is hiring a Data Analyst to join our Data Science & Analytics team in Pune. In this role, you will work with large datasets, build models, and deliver actionable insights that support business growth and decision-making. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and data engineers to ensure data-driven strategies align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general analytics and statistical modeling on diverse business data sets.
- Aggregate, analyze, and interpret data to uncover patterns, trends, and insights.
- Partner with data engineers to define and build efficient data pipelines.
- Develop and implement statistical and predictive models to support business initiatives.
- Apply common statistical methods such as A/B testing, regression, and probability modeling.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to solve business problems and support decision-making.
- Design compelling visualizations and reports to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications
- Beginner-level Data Preparation: Experience in data cleaning, wrangling, and preparation using best practices.
- Beginner-level Modeling Skills: Ability to perform statistical modeling and use analytical tools/technologies to mine and analyze data.
- Decision Making & Critical Thinking: Ability to explore issues, investigate business challenges, and propose data-backed solutions.
- Visualization & Reporting Skills: Proficiency in creating clear and insightful dashboards, reports, and presentations.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools, BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and statistical techniques.
- Strong communication skills to present findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
