About the Role
Mercor is hiring Exceptional Software Engineers to support one of the world’s leading AI labs in building high-performance, scalable systems for next-generation machine learning applications.
As part of this role, you’ll work on:
- Environment configuration
- Database schema design & optimization
- Scalable API development and integration with advanced AI models

You’re a Great Fit If You Have:
- 1+ years of elite software engineering experience in top-tier startups, hedge funds, or quantitative trading firms.
- A Computer Science degree from a prestigious university (U.S., Canada, or the UK).
- Proven success in designing and leading complex database structures.
- Expert-level skills in API development (creation, testing, integration).
- Advanced proficiency in SQL & database management.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Role Highlights
- Flexible workload: 10–20 hours per week (extendable to 40 hours).
- Fully remote & asynchronous: Work from anywhere on your own schedule.
- Short-term with potential extension: 1–2 months minimum duration.
- Start Date: Mid to late August (applications reviewed on a rolling basis).
Compensation & Legal Details
- Hourly Pay: $50–$100 (based on experience).
- Payment: Weekly payouts via Stripe Connect.
