Job Overview
As an Associate Support Engineer, you will provide first-level technical support for Precisely products. This customer-facing role is ideal for individuals passionate about problem-solving, troubleshooting, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid)
Working Hours: 9-hour shifts | 24×5 weekdays + weekend on-call support
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support via calls and emails for global customers and partners.
- Log and track issues in the support case management system, ensuring timely updates.
- Take ownership of customer inquiries, analyze diagnostic data, and provide resolutions.
- Escalate critical issues internally and follow escalation protocols.
- Communicate resolution steps clearly and professionally in written and verbal form.
- Assist pre-sales and services teams with remote product demos, installations, and upgrades.
- Collaborate with development and product management teams for testing and enhancement requests.
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles, FAQs, and documentation.
- Work closely with global support teams across EMEA, APAC, and USA.
- Continuously learn and expand skills to support additional Precisely products.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 0–1 year of experience (internship/projects accepted) in technical support, system administration, or related fields.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Ability to work in rotational/night shifts.
- Ethical, professional, and team-oriented.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Operating Systems: Linux, Unix, AS400, AIX, Mainframe
- Databases: Oracle, MS SQL
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, SAP
- Programming: Java, C, C++, C#, Python
- Networking & Security (good to have)
- B2B Integration: Sterling B2B Integrator, Sterling File Gateway (preferred)
