About the Role
We are looking for an Associate Software Engineer – Production Support with strong foundations in UNIX, SQL, and Python to join our dynamic Applications System Development team. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates passionate about software engineering, application support, and continuous learning in a collaborative environment.
You will gain hands-on experience across the software development life cycle (SDLC) – from coding and debugging to testing, implementation, and production support – while ensuring compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using front-end and back-end technologies under supervision.
- Assist in debugging, testing, and validating code changes for production support.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, DB2, Hadoop).
- Support application documentation and implementation plans.
- Learn and apply standard methodologies, compliance requirements, and IT policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and resolve technical issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or related field.
- Basic knowledge of at least two modern programming languages.
- Familiarity with APIs, external services, relational & NoSQL databases.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a production support environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic or project experience in Python, Java, .NET, or Ruby.
- Exposure to UNIX/Linux environments (Ubuntu, RHEL, Amazon Linux).
- Hands-on practice with data analysis, debugging, and application development.
