Role: Software Engineer
As a Software Engineer at IBM ISDL, you will work across all phases of product development – from design, coding, and testing to deployment and support. You’ll be part of teams developing Operating Systems, Firmware, Cloud & Storage Software, and AI-driven enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test enterprise-grade systems software.
- Analyze requirements and deliver high-performance, secure solutions.
- Collaborate with global product teams & clients.
- Support and validate IBM Systems products.
- Work with Hybrid Cloud, AI, Open Source, and Virtualization technologies.
Required Skills & Expertise
Systems & Cloud Software Engineer
- Strong programming in C, C++, Go, Python, Ansible, Shell Scripting.
- Knowledge of Operating Systems, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Containers, REST APIs, DevOps CI/CD, Microservices.
- Familiarity with GitHub & Open Source tools.
AI Software Engineer
- Expertise in AI/ML/DL, Data Science, Jupyter Notebooks, Linux, Kubernetes.
- Programming skills in C, C++, R, Python, Go.
- Hands-on with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost, NLP.
- Understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and data flows.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to Java, ReactJS, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker/Kubernetes deployments.
- Knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS), RAID, file systems (ext4, NTFS, ZFS).
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux OS, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Scripting in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation.
- Cloud storage knowledge (AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage).
