Role Overview
As a Software Engineer, you will support end-to-end software development activities, including implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and testing. Working in an agile environment, you will contribute to delivering high-quality applications that power Caterpillar’s global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and modifying software applications using agile methodologies.
- Gather and clarify requirements; support workflow automation and process efficiency.
- Write, maintain, and enhance source code for new and existing applications.
- Perform basic testing and maintenance using automated testing tools.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration activities.
Core Skills & Competencies
- Software Development: Familiarity with common programming languages and development tools.
- SDLC Knowledge: Understanding of all major phases and deliverables in the software lifecycle.
- Integration & Testing: Ability to assist in component integration and functional testing.
