About the Role
Cognizant’s GenC program seeks enthusiastic technology graduates who can understand business requirements, develop high-quality code, collaborate in agile teams, and continuously upskill in modern technologies.
As a GenC Software Engineer, you will:
- Understand business requirements and prepare documentation.
- Develop, test, debug, and deploy code as per specifications.
- Create low-level design components and understand data requirements.
- Develop test scenarios and follow the complete SDLC in an Agile environment.
- Prioritize tasks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with project teams to design reliable, cost-effective solutions.
- Continuously upskill/cross-skill on emerging technologies.
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively in team settings.
Eligibility Criteria
- 2025 batch only: B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech.
- Minimum 60% in X, XII, Diploma, UG & PG (No rounding off; 59.9% not allowed).
- No standing arrears at the time of joining.
- Must be willing to work from any Cognizant office location in required shift/technology.
- Open only to Indian nationals / OCI candidates currently residing in India.
- Must register with a personal email ID and maintain it throughout the process.
Mandatory Documents

- Industry-accredited certificate (if available)
For Interview:
- All academic documents, college ID, UG/PG marksheets, provisional/degree certificates
