About the Role
Join Standard Chartered’s CIB Model Data Strategy Team and contribute to shaping the future of data-driven financial decision-making. This role is part of our Credit Portfolio Management function, supporting data initiatives for model development, monitoring, and risk management.
As an Associate, you’ll work on data sourcing, wrangling, and infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient analysis and delivery of high-quality data for credit risk models such as PD, LGD, and EAD.
This is a project-based role, ideal for self-motivated professionals passionate about data strategy, analytics, and credit risk modelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Support data sourcing, verification, and analysis for model development projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement data pipelines and prototypes.
- Improve data wrangling processes and automate workflows where possible.
- Partner with Technology teams to build databases and dashboards for model monitoring.
- Understand and manage data risk and data quality frameworks.
Skills & Experience Required
- Mandatory: SQL proficiency
- Preferred: SAS, Python, or similar analytical tools
- Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving mindset
- Understanding of credit risk, PD modelling, and data engineering concepts
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
