About the Role:
Join Barclays Technology as a Data Analyst and play a key role in shaping the future of financial technology. In this role, you’ll develop data architectures, build and maintain data pipelines, and drive innovation through analytics. You’ll work with a talented team of engineers and business analysts to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions that support millions of customers globally.
What You’ll Do:
- Build and maintain data architectures, warehouses, and lakes ensuring data accuracy and security.
- Develop processing and analysis algorithms for large-scale data systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists to design and deploy machine learning models.
- Deliver end-to-end data solutions using Oracle PL/SQL, Ab Initio, Spark, Scala, Unix, Teradata, HDFS, and TWS.
- Mentor junior developers and promote best coding practices.
- Package and release production code while supporting training and implementation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data tools (Cloudera, Hadoop, Spark).
- Exposure to Cloud technologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of banking or financial systems preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Leadership Expectations:
As part of Barclays’ Assistant Vice President track, you’ll lead complex projects, guide team members, and influence strategic decisions while ensuring risk control and governance best practices.
