About the Role
Join one of the world’s leading banking and financial organizations — HSBC — as a Software Engineer specializing in SAP Payroll and HCM support. This role offers you the opportunity to work in a global HR technology environment, ensuring seamless payroll operations, system support, and process efficiency across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide global HR system functional support and assist in payroll processing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll queries from business/operations teams within defined timelines.
- Analyze system issues, prepare detailed reports, and collaborate with technical/functional teams for defect fixes.
- Maintain up-to-date payroll manuals, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Promote process standardization and manage risk identification within BAU operations.
- Support system health monitoring and handle escalations through root cause analysis.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SAP HCM Personnel Administration, Info types, and Payroll configuration.
- In-depth knowledge of EC-Payroll, including clusters, retro-calculation, taxation, and schemas (PCRs).
- Experience supporting SAP HCM/Payroll modules in multi-country environments.
- Exposure to SuccessFactors EC Time Management, EC Payroll, and P2P integration.
- Desirable experience in SF EC Timesheet, Time Off, and Integration Center/ORD Reports.
- Familiarity with payroll localization for Mexico, USA, UK, MENA, HK, and China.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Splunk, and Control-M scheduler.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends as required.
