About the Role
We’re seeking curious and motivated engineers with strong Python fundamentals to kick-start their careers in open source and enterprise software development. This opportunity begins with a structured 6-month probation and training program, with the chance to move up faster if you show exceptional progress.
At rtCamp, you won’t just write code—you’ll learn, contribute, and grow in an environment that values open-source collaboration and real-world problem solving.
What You’ll Do
Your journey will be guided with hands-on mentorship:
- Month 1: Learn the Frappe Framework with full guidance.
- Months 2–3: Contribute to open-source Frappe projects and real-world codebases.
- Months 4–6: Collaborate with senior engineers on internal and client-facing projects.
AI-based code assistance is welcome—but you must be able to explain every line, logic, and design decision. All code will be reviewed by senior engineers for security, scalability, and maintainability.
Must-Haves
- Strong knowledge of Python
- Curiosity to learn new frameworks, especially Frappe/ERPNext
- Passion for open-source projects and teamwork
- Solid problem-solving and communication skills
Good to Have
- Experience with Django, Flask, FastAPI
- Familiarity with CSS, JavaScript, React
- Prior web development experience

- Shortlisting (15–30 business days) → Based on academics and/or GitHub open-source contributions (PRs strongly preferred).

- Interview Round 2 (30–60 mins)

Interviews conducted on Zoom (camera on + screen sharing required).
Compensation

- Must have an active GitHub profile with contributions (especially PRs)
- Available to join between Nov 2025 – Jul 2026
Career Progression
- Associate Python Engineer → 6 months of learning & contributions
- Software Engineer (Frappe) → Build open-source + client solutions
- Senior Software Engineer (Frappe) → Mentor juniors, lead projects (after ~2 years)
- Lead Software Engineer / Engineering Manager → Drive project decisions or lead teams (after ~4 years)
